Why Do Not You Come Back Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Why Do Not You Come Back

Rating: 5.0

She comes right before eyes
It is not faded yet and smiles
“Yes, son how is you now a day”?
Did you find honorable way?

I look at her and bow down
No mom, I am still unknown
With the ways world treats
And exceptionally greets

“Never be scared of their ways”
She rings melody in different way
Just be normal in dealing
Her words were really healing

After so many years of her passing
I steel felt “ she was advising”
Taking me into confidence
And providing golden chance

“Beware of fake friends”
She goes on with piece of advice at the end
They may come and go anytime
But remember to act in time

Life was no problem for me
I was in comforts and free
There was no burden as such
Her departure in early age was aching

Mom, why do not you come back?
I foolishly ventured to ask
No my son, souls in heaven never come back
They have gone permanently with the packs

I found her words as Solomon promises
There was nothing as such to go on missing
I was still child in her kind eyes
I had dreamed so much to fly
