Why will you give someone else, a smile so bright?
Why would you gaze into another man's eyes?
Why allow someone else wrap you in embrace?
Why should another arm encircle you?
Why making me feel so jealous?

Why do you take delight at his sight?
Why cherish his presence?
Why quiver when he touch?
Why tremble when he speaks?
Why making me feel so jealous?

Why ruminate his words the umpteenth time?
Why read his messages a second time?
Why should you call me by his name?
Why should your ‘goodbyes' to him never end?
Why making me feel so jealous?

Why should I be an option?
Why not say you hate me and watch me leave?
Why reach out when I'm almost gone?
Why torture me with bitter-sweet words?
Why making me feel like a fool, a big fool.
