Why Purple? Poem by Ray Lucero

Why Purple?

You may think me quite eccentric
It's only that I choose to be eclectic!
I often wear clothes the color purple;
Although it's clear there is;
No word that rhymes with purple
If you see me walking down the street;
Wearing purple shirt and purple pants
I pray you won't look at me askance!
Understand it's me, just being me...
I was born this way you see
