Why The Moment Of Life? Poem by Achim Wollscheid

Why The Moment Of Life?

Life is fun when you’re living it just for the moment,
You can be whoever, say and do whatever, and it’s okay.
Without restrictions, you know it’s possible to go wherever,
So you go on forever, you stride beyond the binding line
And you say that it is fine, but it’s not fine.
It’s clear you think you can erase the blue by painting it red,
But what a saddening sorrow, the grief is not dead.
Trouble will always find its way to your doors,
And you have little choice but to let him in.
It’s a laugh and a party that you throw for him;
All the while he plans, in the morning, to leave you broken.
Would I be a fool if I told you to forget about the hard times
And remember the good old times when the room wasn't spinning?
Leave your whims.
You will persevere and overcome trouble in your home.
The blue will peel away as you wave goodbye to him
With a genuine smile on your lips, a true peace in your mind.
Life was fun when you were living it all for a moment,
But why not live life for everyday and leave mere moments behind?
