Widow's Rise Poem by Binu Mathew

Widow's Rise

In the middle of voyage
When captain collapsed
And the ship swayed in severe storm
She rose like a phoenix bird
From socially induced passivity
To her full potential
Taking the helm, steering it
Smoother than her soulmate!
