Will Of Iron And Voice Of Brass Poem by Liza Sud

Will Of Iron And Voice Of Brass

Will of iron and voice of brass -
That is how I'll begin this story.
Sleet has covered remaining grass,
and my windows are dark and hoary.

I imagine your jet black hair,
And I fancy your lustrous bodice.
I recall the illustrious day
when first reading your ancient codex.

There were blessings on one and all -
As a church with a stained-glass glory.
I was an adulated dolt,
garb of poverty - don't cajoler!

Please don't tarry as you may do,
Here - no cramps, no fits of loving!
You have opened my mouth- anew!
And the vista for us is stunning.
