Wind Blowing Poem by Moth Harris

Wind Blowing

I wonder if you're listening
Talking to stars like flames on a candle
They blow out with a whisper
Left cold and in the dark

I just wanted to tell you a secret
but I can't see it now
I just wanted to tell you...
but the lights go out.

I wonder if you can see me now
So unkept and so unclean
Dirt on my face and on my hands
but the wind will blow it all away

I just wanted to tell you how I feel
but it comes and goes
I just wanted to tell you what's real...
because I'm the only one that knows

I wash my face of these impurities
I've cleansed myself of sin and physical loneliness
confessed the wrong doings of who I used to be
Everything the wind has blown away

I just wanted to scream from the mountain tops
When the desert sand cleared from view
When the wind pressure drops
I scream about how much I love you
