Wind On My Face Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Wind On My Face

Rating: 4.8

The feel of wind on my face
it barrels cold down on me
as I struggle with my pace
trotting the gentle slope
calls my feet on turf to prance

the wind so cool, created by my race
while not a strand stirs, breeze dead
today as I work to keep my place
the upcoming SCMM marathon
international juggernaut relay

I thank the sudden wind, rejuvenates
the gust uplifting, my collapsing sail
sound of my bones, as they bend
the wrench of muscles as they tear
all made worthwhile by this wind

Greeted thus, wind kissed cheeks
cool ministrations, body heat laced
My companion in labored rounds
cheer and freshness I taste
this breaking dawn, as I race

Wind blows with imagery and touches face frequently. Wind too creates the race of life. Uplifting collapsing sail wind takes this life ahead. wind kisses with love and greet more and more. Very beautiful imagery is drawn and this is definitely a fantastic poem shared. Interesting. A rating of 10 is done for you in rating box.
