Wind Will Win Poem by Micronjan (Micron)

Wind Will Win

I am a leaf with a fragile hand,
Clinging tight to the patient bark.
The wind decides the rest,
And I am carried down.

I beg the branch to hold me longer,
My veins strain against the pull.
The wind decides the rest,
And I am carried down.

I remember warmth and belonging,
Refuse to loosen what I love.
The wind decides the rest,
And I am carried down.

I fight the air with all I am,
Letting go feels like defeat.
The wind decides the rest,
And I am carried down.
