Wisdom Does Not Poem by Francis Duggan

Wisdom Does Not

Wisdom comes with age as has often been told
But few does grow wiser as they grow old
Wisdom with age does not come as a guarantee
This Is how it is and it always will be
Some in their twilight years seem far from wise
And some with wisdom beyond their years may seem a surprise
But wisdom does not have an age to it at least it seems this way
Some young people are quite wise in truth one can say
In all ages wise people are to be found
Some young people for their wisdom does astound
Wisdom with age it may not come to you
Though it is something you are born with may well be true
Wisdom does not have an age to it as a truism remain
But why this be so is beyond me to explain.
