Wishful Whispers Poem by Virginie Yargeau

Wishful Whispers

I watch the sky as it breathes,
And the stars as they shine.
Water cascading down immense cliffs,
And I take in the details that aren’t mine.

Sitting here makes me wonder,
What I could possibly be missing.
And finally a whisper hits me as I ponder,
Without you I shouldn’t be living.

The flitting sound of your laugh passes,
Crossing my fingers, I look behind.
The hope to see you quickly passes,
Because I finally know that I was blind.

All I need is one memory,
Your gaze warming me when I have frozen.
Your touch lighting up every inch of me,
Or your kiss after I have fallen.
