Wishing... Poem by Jeremiah Abuan

Wishing...

Close your eyes, gentle and firm
Now open them slow, same picture it seems
except for spots twinkling in the dark in short term
wait for them to fall, then whisper your dreams

Let the magic work its way
in time your dream will be...
don’t stop wishing, be at play
then you just wait and see

The white flowers of spring, light and obedient
where the wind goes, it follows with no complain
when one goes by, clasp at the right moment
speak your fantasy, then release what your hand did contain

Let the magic work its way
in time your dream will be...
don’t stop wishing, be at play
then you just wait and see

Search around, look for the deep hole with water
feel your pockets, keep a coin resting by your hold
reveal to it what you desire, something that to you does matter
then throw it at the well, and let your wanting unfold

Let the magic work its way
in time your dream will be...
don’t stop wishing, be at play
then you just wait and see

Whenever you are in need, let your hands together
calm your senses, soothe your soul, and call his name
make your request into a solemn prayer
the best way to get it done...is through HIM

Let your faith work its way
in time your dream will be
don’t stop praying, night and day
then you just wait and see...
