Flowers shimmer so brightly
Beneath morning skies of blue.
A quiet stillness surrounds me
As a special day dawns anew.
The hours are never gloomy
On a day I shall never forget
For at this time many years ago
My 'precious' and I first met.

Happiness shone along life's way
With secrets, too many to tell.
Heaven was kind to my love and I
From the first joyful wedding bell.
Generous friends send good wishes
Floral bouquets they bring to my gate.
And the whole world glitters with diamonds
On this sweet anniversary date.
