With Everything I Have Poem by Peter S. Quinn

With Everything I Have

With everything I have,
I’ll bring you what I can;
For love is all like this:
To give, and be, and hold;
My flowers are for you,
Trying to give you more,
The best part of it all is:
It’s never entirely done.

Right or wrong we are,
Each way into a new mood;
Coming and going eager,
Knowing not what comes next.
This is what love is then,
Just like the truth - in words;
Forever cunning a course,
Forever passing its stream…

I am like the days gone by,
Filled with hours inspirations:
Longings for what I do,
To bring me a steady beat;
This I hope - you like always,
Though some - is never new.
Bouquets blooming assortments,
I’ve brought among you…
