With Holding Of A Grudge Poem by Francis Duggan

With Holding Of A Grudge

Rating: 5.0

With holding of a grudge I would not wish to live
Those I feel who have wronged me I wish to forgive
A deliberate injury or an insult can be hurtful why lie
But why carry resentment till the day that you die
I just want to live on as a happy man
Without any pain for the remainder of my time span
The biological clock on my life ticking fast
And any wrongs against me I will leave to the past
It has been awhile since I've been in my life's prime
And my body feeling the ravage of time
A far better day one might say I did know
My fastest pace now is to say the least slow
Though some do not like me of which I'm aware
A grudge against anyone I do not wish to bear.
