Within The Mirror Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Within The Mirror

beautiful you were born, reflection of mine
Within your frame, a world divine
You show me the truth, both beauty and flaws
A mesmerizing sight, I could never pause.
Your silver surface, a canvas so pure
Reflecting not just my face, but my soul for sure
Each line, each curve, each imperfection
A reminder of my unique perfection
Within your depth, I see my past
The memories, the joys, the sorrows amassed
But also the hope, for a future bright
A chance to rewrite, a chance to ignite
With every glance, I am reminded
That true beauty lies within, yet not blinded
For in your reflection, I see my worth
A value beyond measure, on this earth
You hold the power
To reflect my strength, in every hour
To remind me, of my own grace
In a world, where standards we chase
For you are more than just a mere reflector
You are a symbol, of self-love and care
Reminding me, that I am enough, just as I dare.
