Sometimes, life takes a such twist and turn
It moves ahead and you are left far behind
Perhaps to make you learn a lesson or two
Or to live in regret and repentance all time.
I still remember the moment, I saw her in life
As if the heart had stopped beating
As if I had forgotten my breathing
A case of camaraderie and love at first sight.
She was around for a reasonable time
Yet I remained ignorant till the final goodbye
If a relationship is for togetherness and belonging
Or for the love, longing, absence and loss in time.
Unaware then, the day I lose her
I shall lose the worth and relevance of life
Transfixed, I watched her walking away
Perhaps never to meet again in lifetime.
Through this small poem, the twists and turns of life, meeting and parting of loving hearts and pleasures and pains taking turns have been beautifully depicted. The concluding lines are the most taxing ones: Transfixed, I watched her walking away / Perhaps never to meet again in lifetime.

Great words of heartache expressed but never say never.
