Without I Write, I Would Remain Dumb Poem by Elizabeth Padillo Olesen

Without I Write, I Would Remain Dumb

Rating: 5.0

Writing is journey
to what is and what is to be
It is a trip to reality
and a trip to the world of fantasies
opening doors to human possibilities.

Writing is window
to every human spirit that is free-
free to create, free to surf the seas,
the mountains and forests,
the outer space and cyberspace- forming
a chronicle of a human spirit that is free.

I would remain dumb,
If I would not write
the thoughts and heartbeats of a free soul.
I would remain dumb, if I would not write
journeys to the heights and lows in life
allowing a display of a human spirit that is free!
