Without Love Poem by Hailey Agnew

Without Love

Rating: 5.0

What is a life worth living,
when you don't feel anymore?
We live for these blazing emotions,
we live to hear out hearts roar.
We live for our emotions to soar.
What happens when you sit in your room,
and lock the bedroom door?
That's not what we're living for.
What happens when you're sitting at home,
with nothing important to think about?
No love of your life on your mind,
not even a little expectation or doubt.
You thought getting over him would be good,
but he was your whole life.
He was everything you thought about,
every day and every night.
You were in love with him for so long,
you forgot what it was like without him.
You forgot the life without that love,
now everything seems boring and dim.
So what do you do,
when you find your life empty?
When you sit and feel alone,
like you're just so incomplete?
There's nothing that can replace that feeling,
with love you just can't compete.
That reminds me of what my mother said to me,
if you love something set it free.
If it comes back it's yours,
if it doesn't it never was.
But what to do when you're lost,
because you've forgotten how to live without love?
Family love just isn't the same,
you're starting to miss his mind games,
the ones you hated,
the ones that used to drive you insane.
If there was one thing i could tell him face-to-face,
one thing i could tell him for real,
it's not that i miss him,
i miss the way he made me feel.
I would tell him the feelings i had for him,
are just no longer there,
and for the first time in a long time,
i really just don't care.
