Witness - Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Like David, the son and descendent of David
Whom I heard has abused
The law of racism
Called he asked:
“Be witness in the court.”
“I will come and will talk, but only as I saw.”
I replied.

He knew, of course knows
he wants me to go lie.
“That is wrong and bad too for yourself…”
told him and had reasons.

Working is not for him
still looks for money
regardless of the way
he wants it by all means
