Witnessing God Poem by Amitava Sur

Witnessing God

Rating: 5.0

Why are you so nervous and concerned
In witnessing His presence whom you call God?
You don’t have to be so meticulous
Not even to meditate day and night
With folded hands in temple, church or mosque.

You just behave very normal as you are
Unconditionally you love all, from a pauper up to a prince
Every creature on this earth is a creation of that God.
You have to realize His omnipresence in all

From fire to ice, from mountain to lake
Whether an arid desert or a peaceful oasis,
Everywhere HE is present, from an elephant to an ant.

You have to be kind, benevolent
And preach love and peace.
Unconditionally you love all
He Himself will meet you all
You don’t have to break your head
Not even to murmur or chant.

You just be a human with humanity
Do not indulge any hypocrisy
Just be very upright and honest to yourself.

He Himself will meet you all
You don’t have to break your head
