Woman Poem by Nancy Terrell

Woman

One cannot "take" a woman
For only she can yield
One cannot force a woman
For what she does not want to give
One cannot understand a woman
Who does not want to be understood
One cannot love a woman
Who desires not to be loved
Yet, women are the most ardent
Of creatures - when turned on by instinct
They purr, they adore, they respond
When in their hearts, they click
To the one who "turns them on"
And gives them freedom to
