Woman Of Adultery Poem by Randy McClave

Woman Of Adultery

They brought to him a woman of adultery
So, of her sin and punishment all could mock and see,
They then brought her to Jesus so he could judge
Then against him they could accuse and grudge.
They then reminded Jesus on Mosses' law
And then this is what the Pharisees and the people saw,
Jesus began writing in the sand with his finger
Then they looked as they thought as they did linger.
In the sand as his finger did write as they did note
It was the finger of God that the commandments were wrote,
In the sand did Jesus rewrite the 10 commandments once again
Or did he write all the accuser's names and their every sin.
As the people and the Pharisees looked around in wonder
Then as their beliefs and their actions they did ponder,
Jesus then asked those without sin to cast the first stone
The accusers then dropped their rocks, and left the woman alone.
