Wherein is the beauty
Associated with woman?
On her glittering hide
Or in her commodious heart
And sagacious head?
A momentary pause
Waiting for takes from men
And their mouths begin to wag
Looks has many men hooked
And so they vote
Thinking that beauty
Is in the eyes captured by transient physique
Unmindful that ugliness
Is a crude choice in an abode of opulence
But a few are blessed with wisdom
Knowledge and understanding
Aware that a woman’s beauty
Lies in her bosom and brain
Though in short supply
But in constant demand by inchoate man
Ever seeking to make up his deprecating deficiency
For man is bereft of wholesomeness
Without woman
His adept and ardent driver
Irrespective of her colour, age, size, height, education and social status
Be her either a mother, sister, daughter, lover, fiancée, spouse
Or just a colleague.
