Women at War
To many men their strength is to fight
Controlling everything is their right
The constant need to prove their power
Heroes to all in their finest hour.
Throughout the world many wars are fought
But what of those battles not through history taught
The warriors march and far may roam
Yet what of the anguish found at home.
How many women watch tv
And so are scarred by what they see
The silent victims of the wars of men
The wives, the mothers, who once again
Must wait and weep, then one day mourn
Their husbands, for the child they’d born
To die in some forgotten field.
What weapons can these warriors wield?
