Wonder of the world Poem by Mario Wirz

Wonder of the world

Someone has quietly placed the Eiffel Tower
in front of my window
as if it were child's play
the wonder of the world
Confidently
I return to the
beginning
believing
The ecstasy
of our spring
seems endless
I think I'm dreaming
my neighbor calls out
and bewildered she looks upon
the tourists
streaming
into the backyard
