Wonderful Poem by Raymond Farrell

Wonderful

You can't say that word
You know the one
The BS word
Or a whole load of other words
And appear cultured and refined
But lets just deal with the BS word first
You need to get yourself
Off to finishing school
So when some elegantly dressed dame
Flashes her diamonds in your face
And tells you her hubby
Gave them to her
Because he loved her
You will know enough
To say wonderful
Or when some well-coiffed wench
Wearing a knock your eye out bracelet
Confides that her hubby
Gave it to her as a surprise
You will tell her
How wonderful it is
And if either of them ask
What has your hubby
Done for you
You will be able
To tell them with confidence
He sent me to finishing school
So now, instead of saying BS
I always say wonderful.
