Have you ever wondered
What sort of man I'd have been
Without all the nonsense behind me
And the bad times I've seen
Would there have been some rest
When I hunkered down
Away from the cut and thrust
And all those things unknown
So do you face the future
Knowing now what it can be
Or thankful that I've known
What it takes to survive uneasily.
