Wonderment - Poem by Edwina Reizer
Is there a way to lift this veil from me
so I can know with certainty
that life beyond this one I'm in
is one that's never filled with sin?
Or must I contemplate a life unknown
and wonder how I'll feel
if future living brings a day
when all I'll feel brings dismay?
I'd rather keep the veil in place
and stay blind to all that I might face.
For ignorance is bliss I say.
At least I know what is today.
