Word Is Now A Town Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Word Is Now A Town

Rating: 5.0

We may be too black or too white,
We may be too yellow or too brown,
Just helpless ordinary men or the elite,
On our heads is a shining similar crown.
We may be Asians, Australians or Africans,
We may be Europeans or Americans,
We are eggs of distant heavenly hens,
With a romance that once came down.
Buddhists, Hindus, Jews or Christians,
Muslims or else we are chicks of aliens,
We developed ink and developed pens,
Wrote names forgetting common noun!
I have put aside my old pen it's superstitious,
I use key board of a computer it is conscious,
Let it write the truth it's truthful and zealous,
We all are humans and the world is now a town.
