Words Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Rating: 5.0

My pen is my sword
Welding it, I do like the rapier
Cutting and thrusting a point of view
Back held sometimes as a defence
Paper is the shield
Stronger than all metal armour
My words the legacy I leave
The sword may blunt and break
My shield could burn to ash
Only my words live on in perpetuity

We as writers, our pen is our sword and paper our shield....The scribbled words are in perpetual living........
