Words Can Sting Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Words Can Sting

Words can sting and words can wound,
Like sharp stones, they can astound.
If your thoughts are not so sweet,
Best to let them stay discreet.

A quiet mouth is often wise,
When unkind words start to rise.
Hold them back, let silence bloom,
And keep your heart from casting gloom.

No need to cause a bit of strife,
Just live your own, peaceful life.
If nothing good comes to your tongue,
Best to keep your spirit young,

Just let the silence do its part,
A gentle kindness for every heart.
