Words From Beyond Life Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Words From Beyond Life

Rating: 5.0

And all I wanted to say...
Is that I love you more
Than the birth of this new day

And all I wanted to say...
Is that I love you more
Than yesterday and today

And all I wanted to say...
Is that your love has melted me away
And tomorrow's gone but you're here to stay

And all I wanted to say...
That you're my friends here today
And though I'm gone you're there to stay

And all the light in the morning sky
Isn't enough to say my heart's good-bye
And yet, that's all that's left in the bye and bye

And all the light in the evening sky
Isn't enough to cry me to sleep tonight
For the pain and suffering I've caused you

And all the words from my heart and soul
Isn't enough to say how much I love you
And now that I'm gone how much I will miss you

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Shortly after a friend had committed suicide, I had a dream in which he had conveyed the essence of this poem. He requested that I share it with the girlfriend he left behind. I honoured his request and hers which was to share it with mutual friends.
