I'm told that girls like poetry
But I know some who'd disagree
It matters not what's written down
Not adjectives, nor verbs, nor nouns
What's important is the meaning
But beautiful can be the reading
If the words form a clear picture
With frame and content unobscured
There's so much that makes up a poem
Yet simple ones can still hit home
All it may take is pretty kitty
To make one person sound quite witty
But words of romance are so tender
A person speechless they may render
In contrast harsh words are so painful
The reader oft becomes disdainful
I write to share the word's comfort
Their sweet, caressing support
I write to love make others happy
With hopes my words may live eternally
To those who dont like poetry
I've naught but this to say to ye
I hope you know what you're missing
So that you won't regret a thing
I really do like your wit, humor, flow and the realness of it all. Keith
