Words Of Woe Poem by Karissa Earley

Words Of Woe

Confusion in her heart,
But a smile upon her face.
A burning anguish inside her,
A feeling she can't replace.

Sinking into despair,
She slowly balled her fists.
She whispered words of woe,
As she began to cut her wrist.

A star slowly dying
An anchor sinking in the dark,
Blood running from her arms,
An indifference setting her apart.

Dark clouds consuming her soul,
Death upon her lips.
Tears in her eyes,
But a numbness in her heart.

In a coma,
A monster she has become.
Fighting for life,
Knowing she's done.
