Words Stutter To Picture The Sacrifice Of Jehovah

It takes sacrifice to give
especially giving something special
But he gave Himself, better still His son

I dont shiver at the sight of a slain animal
it happens everyday
However, we shed a tear, cry, get depressed when its a pet
what's the difference? not the loss but the loss of a DEAR one

Prices escalate when items are scarce
Though pets maybe just another animal,
its irreplaceableness gives its worth.
That's the loss of love, it has no substitute; its unique
at best, the replacement of love almost fits, it never is an exact replica.

So what's the price of Christ?
There has never been any like Him and there never will be
He is the father yet the son,
How deep must the grief have been?
He wasn't a pet, He was life not even just a man but God too

This is the magnitude of my sin
It cost my King the scarcest, dearest and best
It cost my king to watch himself die in the form of His son!

He gave both his possession and himself,
He gave his creation and his person
To think anyone will kill his beloved son
for the appeasement of his near insatiable wrath
and reconciliation to his own product
Perfect web of Justice, sacrifice and Love.

Give me yourself and I will love you
But give yourself to watch your offspring be given at your desire
and I have no words to describe you.
You are YAHWEH, JEHOVAH,
I will never be able to phantom you
and words at best will be far away
From the finish line of accurate depiction of your sacrifice.
