Wrap Me In A Bolt Of Lightening Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Wrap Me In A Bolt Of Lightening

To my dearest
here I write
do not read this
until I've left your sight

you did not come for me
in my time of need
I begged for your company
I'm not one to plead

on my knees
I have fallen
still no restraint
it's you whom I keep calling

make love to me
until we can no longer move
I need your touch
this I must prove

never have I needed you more
then when a noose is on my neck
save me from myself
on this earth, my life is just a spec

goodbye is never easy
I never wanted to say it to you
we both know I'm going to do
I've given the goodbye cue
