X Stop The Violence X Poem by Lisa Anderson

Us kids need to stop the violence
Put the guns and knives down
And study our books or get a job
Killing young innocent people don’t change any thing

You don’t look big with weapons
But you do with good grades
You can pay your own bills
That means your bills won’t be sky high

If you’re in some sort of gang
And their id going to be beef
Don’t chicken out of it but don’t use weapons
Just use your hands and feet

You shouldn’t feel like you need weapons
Toy protect you in any way
Because they don’t they just kill people
Or make people bleed to death

When you have shot someone with a gun
You can’t judge where it had hit
Because the bullet has been sprayed off
That’s why the killer is close
