Yahrzeit - Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Life is full of Memories
Of Events good, and bad, and more,
Which Birthdays and Anniversaries
Bring forever to the fore.

The Yahrzeit tomorrow of my Father’s death,
Reminds me every year,
Of what he taught me through my life,
And of the memories I should hold dear.

How G-d’s creation is beautiful,
Why this World we must preserve,
Why the Good in everyone of us,
We must seek, and forever take hold.

When times of stress encompass me,
When words come not to Mind,
For weeks no words have come to me,
But of that, I do not mind.

When HE wishes me to write,
My Mind will be open to HIS Words,
Which I’ll write down for you,
And put into scan and verse.
