One summer night gave birth to a people
Called Yavapai
One day a turquoise sky brought a friend
And a bride
Her name was Apache running away
She could not be found
Her cry was in mountain
And Yavapai was brought to calm
Her sound
Love at first sight? No.
But childhood friends never are
But teenhood dreams
Can bring close the far
Hand in hand the couple grew
And the people, new, Yavapai- Apache
Became a people the people knew
The marriage recognized and blessed by God
Who can sever what Father puts together?
No, not sever, but grow
The friend of the couple gave them
A land then the land a spring
The spring a river the river
A ring
Yavapai- Apache
Always and forever
A forged yet beautuful song to sing
And beautiful children
Children of dreams
