Ye Be At Peace Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

Ye Be At Peace

Ye be at peace O Lord. Don't show your wrath.
Don't glare and dye your eyes with ruby red.
Please follow what you taught to us on earth.

You insist that on Dharmic path we tread.
You taught us Vedic mores and Shastras great.
We try our best, but still we live in dread!

Oh what's your state of existence and trait
The real, but lo concealed from human eye.
Are your simpers and smiles, a canny bait? !

All that you taught I guess a clever lie.
You don't belong to humans O my Lord.
We never understand that axiom wry.

With tearful eyes I blame you Lord, but hard
To long retain that weak umbrage against
You Lord. Take them as spiels of a maddened bard.

Don't say it's just a play to fast arrest
Our growing sin. It seems more of a fun
To you O lord than acting really just.
Ye stop your Leela O my Lord of pun.
We're trying best to walk on Dharmic path.
Our prayers, our peans, and hymns ye please don't shun.

Trust us; they're coming deep and deep from heart.
Come hold our hands you tight, and don't depart.
