Some people are
In need of heroes in these
Troubled, bankrupt times.
But the ones on celluloid,
That bombard billions
Of screens, do nothing much for
Me, I have to say.
Perhaps, instead of phony
Celebrities we
Require more moral leaders:
Guardians such as
The wise, empowered elites
Of Plato's epoch.
That is surely food for thought,
Given the current
State of affairs, Given
The lay of the land.
In the light of Year Zero,
Let's begin again:
From Year Zero to the stars!
