Yes, We Can Be Young And Jolly Again Poem by Hebert Logerie

Yes, We Can Be Young And Jolly Again

We don't need to go back, way back
But we can be young and happy again
We can fall in love walking in the rain
And spend our afternoon on the dock
Witnessing the departure of the ships
We can reminisce the long gone days
Going forward, we can do more trips
Together, exploring more lakes and bays
We can dive deep in love again and again
Trust me, darling, that will not be a mortal sin
Yes, indeed, we can have more fun, laugh more
Jog more and sing more. Do you get the picture?
We can enjoy our lives like two young lovers
Like two clownfish zigzagging in streams and rivers
No more nonsense arguments and jealousies
No more calling each other ridiculous names
Yet, we can still joke around and do comedies
We can cease all excuses and shameful blames
Yes, we can be positive and civil all year long
And we can do it again while learning a new song.
