Yesterday – I Felt Again Exactly - Poem by Liza Sud

Yesterday – I felt again exactly –
The excitement goes from my feet
Up and up, and it is like goose bumps but
I feel them UNDER my skin.

Is it soul that feels your words inflowing?
Is it good or is it bad?
Is it sinful if it comes from bottom
And goes up to captivate my mind?

Inflowing! It comes from the Bottom. Thanks for sharing. (Report) Reply

In the second stanza the first and fourth lines are wonderful: they trace the movement of poetic inspiration from the poet to the reader, from me to you. Concerning your question IS IT SINFUL? I am confident it is not. We must remember we are creatures not only ON the earth but OF the earth. And the force of gravity holds us here. But all of these earthly things and forces were first in God's mind before they became existent.Even the meanest, cruelest devil cannot eliminate God's glory from he earth. In the first stanza the impact of poetry is similar to what Emily Dickinson said: I know I have read a poem when I feel the top of my head has exploded! (Report) Reply
