Yester-Night Poem by Wangchat konyak

Yester-Night

I was drowned in the depths
Of hopelessness,
Was submerged in the abyss
Of loneliness
Until yester-night.
I know not how Sleep,
The thief of Sorrow,
Rescued me.
All I recall were —
I was shattered,
Tormented and wailing
Upon my fate and downfall.
As I woke that morning,
I found out that
Yesterday has slipped away,
Into the dark unknown
Where I can neither trace
Nor grasp its path.
Did it find a restful haven,
Or wander still in deeper dark?
It took a quiet pilgrimage
Into the obscurity
Where I can never trace
Of its fleeting footprints
Or the ghost of yesterday.
