'' Yet Still, We Ignore What Is Fact '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Yet Still, We Ignore What Is Fact ''

The truth we deny,
We are living a lie,
Our numbers are out of control,
As resources die,
We refuse to see why,
In conservation we don't play a role.

Polluting the land,
The seas and the sand,
What is that we cannot see,
We do understand,
It's now out of hand,
But to save it we cannot agree.

While others perish,
Greed we still cherish,
As long as there's some for the few,
It's really nightmarish,
Those with, remain garish,
They don't care what happens to you.

On other life we depend,
Yet we kill not defend,
All those that ensure we all thrive,
We are facing the end,
If our ways we don't mend,
Those extinctions we cannot revive.

Our morals are bent,
We refuse to repent,
For what is entirely our fault,
We cannot prevent,
What we represent,
It's money not Gods we exalt.

When two into one,
Becomes ten we're done,
It's at millions and still we don't act,
Nature's on the run,
Our end has begun,
