You Poem by EmmaLeigh Smith

You

A look
A voice
Hands
Flesh
wanting you rips my soul in two
flirt with the edge
wanting to fall
you may not catch me
I could break into a thousand pieces
would you still love me?
If I fall is there a soft embrace?
Will you leave me open and lonely?
Will you hold out your arms, take me in,
mend my wounds?
Could you be the one to heal me?
Will you shatter what is left of this unruly heart?
Will you leave me wanting?
Could you be the one to erase all of my misgivings
my soul a flat black with nothing inside
you warm me
you move me
you are poison to an unhealthy mind
