You Abandoned Him Poem by courtney helm

You Abandoned Him

He just sits there and waits,
Waits for you,
You left him here,
This place he calls nowhere,
Why did you leave?
You gave them such grief,
Him and his brother,
They only have each other,
Did you even bother?
To think about them?
How could you leave them on a limb?
Now they're all motherless,
All fatherless,
And his only wish,
That you would come back,
He wants to know why,
You never said bye,
He has no one to love,
Except for his brother,
He has no one to hug,
Do you know that he cries?
Do you know that he tries?
To go and find,
You again,
What you did is not kind,
Even though,
He has his brother,
He wants you,
He never knew,
His mother face,
And pretty soon,
He'll find you're not important,
Because you went,
And he'll go inside,
And no longer hide.
