You Are Poem by Fergal Dunne

You Are

I sleep under starlit skies

That trip me up,

And forgive unforgiving lies,

Who spilled my cup.

I dream of your clean river

That heals my wounds.

Truths that you deliver,

Make mountains swoon.

Soft are green grasses

They stroke my feet.

Lipstick stained glasses

Swallowing nectar sweet.

Leafy tall pines,

They are my protection.

Bright as sunshine,

You are my life, love and direction.
