You Are Of The Sea Poem by Anthony Kintanar

You Are Of The Sea

Rating: 5.0

And the barnacles in it.
You dwell in that world
That I glimpse
But cannot follow.

The waves speak
Of a child deemed lost
But laughing somewhere
In a dream.

When I have understood
The wisdom of water and air,
I shall come and be with her.
I shall listen to the whale song
Speaking to my blood.

Then I shall be one with the sea.
And be young again,
And be old, and timeless.
